Not necessarily in response to this, but a general point- everyone on this team comes to practice ready to work and is very coachable. It makes it so much easier to focus on the next level stuff.
I should probably be more careful, I have no reason to believe there are any issues with Earl's practice effort.
I don't understand why people are talking about next year though, we need a 3rd post player now. There's no decision that needs to be made between Gil and Earl. There's a decision to be made between Earl and Reischel in the post and Earl and the 4 guard lineup.

Agree with BFC here. And what is all the next year. He will help us this year. Should be plenty of minutes for him down the line this year. I am sure all with work out.
Well I am the one who brought up next year, so let me clarify. I brought it up because this thread is in regards to Earl's playing time. I don't think his playing time will change drastically this year, maybe a few more minutes a game here and there. My point was next year he will HAVE to play more minutes due to the loss of Gil, and I am excited by what he has shown in his role this year to show that he can be the replacement for Gil that we need.
Dan does post.....his nom de internet is SeanMC......

Watson will grow from additional PT and being further coached up, he seems to at this point to be an Iffy with greater upside potential, not much more. And that is OK as long as we get some other big help coming in to pay major minutes next year... No?
I think Earl has much more upside than Iffy. He can help this team this year, and next. But I do think Gil has to be a big part of our success if we are to reach our potential, while he can be inconsistent he has much more ball skills than Earl. Good passer, can put the ball on the floor if he has to, decent moves in the paint. Earl is a banger, a valuable role on this team since we dont have a lot of that, but I do not think he is a guy ready for 25-30 mins a night.
My man Earl making a statement for more run tonight. I know an A10 big man should dominate a D2 team, but at least he did that and seemed to look good doing it (based on second hand accounts).

When Earl and Hassan are hitting the offensive glass it's insane. Earl dominated A10 front courts in spurts last year. He just looked clueless defending the pick and roll.
