Some articles on Holton to WVU, not much new here, although it does say he considered Memphis and Southern Miss as well.

Also looks like he's struggling to make the grade at Palm Beach State. I used to want this clown back but the more I read about him the more I'm glad he is someone else's problem. What a dope.

Says his coach at Palm Beach State "Having said that, Butch Estes, Holton’s coach at Palm Beach State in 2012-13, said Holton has some work to do to be eligible at WVU. “It will go into the summer,” he said.

This is basically handing in assignments and finishing classes and making sure the associate degree is secured. But graduating in time for the 2013-14 season has always been the goal for Holton, so it’s not like they’re improvising here."

This kid is a joke. Good riddance.

I'd be embarssed to see a headline like this about a URI recruit.

Might as well say "He'll be offered a scholarship if he doesn't get the "chair."

UPDATE: Holton was sentenced today to two years of probation. One of the voyeurism counts was tossed out.

PS. Noticed in ATP post the Holton dress code for his sentencing day. Am I crazy, he doesn't even dress up for his sentencing day??????????

Great look, eh, McRam.
People today have no sense of occasion, regarding dressing up.
Wedding, funerals, court dates, whatever, too many slobs in sweats and
t-shirts.
I was driving near the Ebenezer Baptist Church and the congregation was getting out.
I was pleasantly surprised to see men and women dressed in their best, as it was
when I was a kid going to church on Sunday.

If you go back to the original story it says: A person familiar with the situation told the Charleston Daily Mail Sunday that Holton's scholarship offer would only be honored if his legal issues are resolved.

In subsequent reporting, "resolved" got changed to "cleared."

Huggins left himself an out; Holton didn't have to be found not guilty to be on the team.

1. Yes, he had/has "freakish athleticism…." which was constantly used to fire fade-away jumpers against players 2-3 inches shorter!!!!!
2. If he's on campus finishing his degree, maybe he's getting some real instruction during his free-time from Coach Hurley and staff.
3. Get the degree, Orion Outerbridge!!!!!!! (I still can't believe he left early to train solely for the draft! What the heck had he been doing for four years???) Finish what you started!!! Help the team!!!!!
