Not surprised here. Good for them, I'd rather have a decent PC team coming into the Ryan Center than a bad one.

I'm guessing they're letting Dunn announce it himself before they say anything.

This seems like a really strange place to be having this discussion. There is a thread devoted to Kris Dunn and his decision here:

http://keaneyblue.com/viewtopic.php?f=1 ... 50#p219803

Let's try to stay on topic since it makes it easier for people who don't check the board frequently to catch up.

This isn't in response to Sina, because I preferred he not play here. But why is Biggie transfering? So we can have 3 open slots?

I'd have to assume it's to go somewhere that can be the unquestioned starter and not see his minutes continue to dwindle if all of the guards (Thompson included) continue to improve. Figure that including Iverson, who will likely play a lot of forward as well, Biggie would be the 6th or 7th guard on the depth chart.

Hmm just throwing it out there, as most expect him to stupidly go pro and we have no real connection to him that I know of but Chris Walker 6'10 220lbs from Florida who was once thought of as a top 5 pick has announced that he wont be returning to the school. The kid is an athletic freak who has fought with Donovan his whole career but even still, in just 14.6mpg last year he averaged 4.7ppg 3.5rpg and 1.2bpg.

All the fuss about getting Walker eligible at Florida.
He's been one of the biggest busts ever.
Top 5 guy, who can't get off the bench (like Murphy) at Florida.

Chris Walker stinks, you can tell he doesn't have work ethic. I'm really surprised Alex Murphy hasn't had a good career in college, maybe he's missing the mentality. He has all the tools.

He re-classified in prep school when he shouldn't have to get sweet-talked into a school he shouldn't have chosen to then transfer to a school which is usually loaded with athletes/basketball players not basketball players/athletes -- and, for his final season of futility -- the coach the family finally "trusted," has yet another hankering for a bigger challenge…..
Oh, well.
The fact is this: Alex Murphy is like thousands of other kids who plateau at a certain point no matter how many skills he possesses.

It amazes me that the ego is so big, as to not realize, there isn't
that much difference between Florida and Duke.
Duke is a peg higher, but Florida was Final Four two seasons ago.
What Murphy should have done was, swallow his pride and drop down to a
mid major, like URI or PC.
He's likely have seen a lot more playing time than he has at Florida.
Donovan seems to have an itch to leave, so there's that.

I think your last point is an important point that we often overlook - Development is often not a linear projection. Some guys have incremental improvement from year to year, some guys breakout, some guys surrender small gains one year and then bounce back up the next, etc. Generally, you can count on incremental improvement from players, but development is messy, especially when you're evaluating players in that 17 to 25 age range.

I've got a better shot than this goof:

Florida's Chris Walker will enter the 2015 NBA Draft, per the school.

Adam Zagoria @AdamZagoria · 13h 13 hours ago
Billy Donovan is at 11/10 odds to take the OKC job per @BovadaLV. Odds he drafts Chris Walker about a million to 1

Programs can handle the occasional transfer, even if the guy is a starter. But, to have your entire recruiting class- and all the time and work that went into that- be gone in one fell swoop is brutal.

They've been a good program for years even before Shaka. It's a bump, sure, but they'll be fine. Good programs lose coaches constantly.
