Just read this article on SI.com about a game between Shaq's LSU and Loyola-Marymout when they ran "the system."

Very interesting stats that show how much the college game has slowed down.

There was a 30-30 on ESPN about Loyola Marymount and the death of Hank Gathers.
It was very well done. Lots of law suits, and a lot of people jumping in to point fingers.
Bottom line was Gathers cut back on his meds to play, and paid the ultimate price.

That was a shock to see that happen to Gathers....same thing with Reggie Lewis. Seeing a great young athlete just crumple to the floor, shocking and very sad.

I still remember Bo Kimble shooting those free throws left handed- and making them. Being a young teenager at the time and from the Philiy area, I remember the local coverage of that whole situation being so heart breaking.

Loved watching Gathers play for Loyola, he would have had a long NBA career for sure
