I say no. He can do better. Look at all the top assignments that opened up this year. Rutgers will always be there for him; if and when he wants it.

I came close to picking the third option. This is getting ridiculous.
If he does go, will there be a poll to see who wishes him well, like with CFL?

I say he stays. He is on the cusp of building an NCAAT team. Moving now will set him back 2-3 years. That would put him around 6 years with no post seasons. Not good for a resume.

But why limit the question to next Friday? I don't see how Rutgers will hire a new head coach when they lost their AD and their president is under fire and pressure to resign.

If Dan were to be hired, I doubt that it could happen in the next week. The way you framed the question, people may need to vote NO right now even if they think he won't be coaching Rhody next season (which would be a better question).

I think it's 50-50 at this point. I'm bothered by the reports that he wants the job. Is all of that fiction?

I talked to someone at Rutgers. They are saying the hiring process wil take about a month.
