Yahoo reporting leads to a plan B if Hurley leaves. Here is list I will submit after input from this board:

Fran Frascilla
Mike Fratello
Dave Cowens
Bill Musselman
Rusty Cordua
Ray Pepin
Clem Haskins
Roland Fiore
Glen Miller
Ernie Kent

Any others or input on above?
The above is a power house list.

Silly Hal. You know we hire sucessful UCLA coaches who get fired. They take us deep into the tournament. No need for lists.

I heard Thorr agreed to stay with the understanding he will become basketball coach when Hurley bolts for Rutgers. No list is needed.

Fantastic list. I actually know Russ Cordua, and had no idea he played at URI a while after I met him. He is a teacher at a Maryland high school that is competitive in football and basketball, but he does not coach.

Rusty may have been the best pure shooter I ever saw in 50 years watching URI basketball.
He didn't have the 3 point line, either. Incredible range and quick release.
Too bad he left after his only year at URI. He would have
been one of the greats here.
