What is interesting is he is averaging 8 minutes a game less at ECU then he did at URI.

I don't have any issue with Richmond and am glad for him. I don't doubt that he is probably much happier being close to home, family. and friends even if it does mean less minutes.

Richmond leaving was not a huge loss for URI if his play during his 2nd season was to be the norm. A new start for him was good for both parties.

Good for Akeem. Always nice to see guys hit big shots, wish it had happened once or twice more while he was at URI, but certainly no ill will towards him and I'm glad to see him succeed.

Good for Akeem. I'm glad he is happy where he is. He was not the right fit for URI and his leaving was in the best interests of all.

Just to clarify to those saying Akeem shot 4-23.... he was 2-5 from 3pt in the championship game. His last 4 games he was a slumping 6-28 from 3pt, but finished at 42.0% 3PT for the year. Just to relate, URI's best 3PT percentage this year was TJ at 34.8%. Akeem also set the single season record at ECU for 3PTs made.

And he also played only 20mpg, which is just slightly more then TJ. Akeem is also in his 4th year of college, while TJ is only in his second. The reason he doesn't play much at ECU are the same reason he didn't play much here. A nearly 1 to 1 assist to turn over ratio and a total lack of defense. I wish him all the best, and hopefully he works on his deficiencies over this off season.
