It's just like in The Mighty Ducks 3, how Charlie Banks had to learn how to play two-way hockey. That's really what his gruff coach was trying to impart on him, to get him to step up and to become a leader, but it took a couple montages and the return of Gordon Bombay for him to really understand it.
What a hysterical comparison! Lol

Brad Richards a healthy scratch tonight! Wow! Henrik saying lucky bounces are what got the bruins to a 3-0 lead in the series. I don't think all 5 of those goals in game 2 were lucky bounces sir. Should be a good game, I hope they can finish this off and rest for the penguins. Still, it is the rangers they aren't going down easy.
Also, have a funny feeling Jagr could have a good game tonight. We'll have to see!

Jagr was all over the goal mouth all night. Saguin actually scored.
Problem was, Rask was half asleep and Chara played the worst game
I ever saw him play.
The winning goal started with a pass going through his legs.

Last night was disappointing. I wish we could have just closed it out. What happened to Rask on that first goal is the hockey equivalent to the Sanchez butt-fumble. Jagr is dishes out some great passes and I'm glad seguin finally scored. Game 5 is in Boston, I hope we can close it out then and rest for the penguins.

Funny thing is, the Rangers came out flat, and showed very little
in that game.
They were totally outplayed, and somehow, managed to win, due to
dumb mistakes, especially by Rask and Chara.
I love the linesman telling Tortarella ,"Go fuck yourself! You had your say, now shut up!"

I loved that too, that was awesome.
It was dead in the first period. MSG was like a church and the gameplay itself was boring. I wish we took advantage of that, but what can you do. I'm not too worried. I think Rask will come back and have a great game 5 and hopefully the garden will give the bruins the energy they need to put the dagger in this one.

Good game overall. Defense played well, didn't seem like Tuukka was challenged except for that breakaway which he made a good save. Krug is hot right now, I hope that continues into the next series. Nice to see Seidenberg back, that only makes us better. Penguins will be tough. They are deep and very talented. Should be a good series!

Very thankful the Bs won that game last night. Love watching Krug smoothly set himself up for these bombs he launches at the net.

Krug looks like a real keeper. Has that Bobby Hull blaster from the point.
The Penguins will be tough. They have as much frontline talent as any team in a long
time.
Seidenberg kept getting knocked off his feet. I wonder if he's anywhere near 100%, because
you don't see that very often with him.
They're going to need everyone of their defensemen in this series, to be at the
top of their game.

Seidenberg could just be a little rusty after missing 4 games, but I think after a few days of rest and practice he will be okay. It will definitely be a tough one for the bruins. They controlled the couple of games we played them in the regular season. You're right rod, we need every defenseman at the top of their game along with tuukka and the forwards.

TUUKKA. Needs to keep playing like that. That game could have been the penguins if the defense and Tuukka were not on their games. Krejci played well as always. In my opinion he is the most talented/best player on the bruins. I loved the intensity, it seemed to favor the bruins. This is going to be a good series!

P.s
How funny was it when Crosby tried to act tough? My buddies and I couldn't get enough of it. Stop trying to stand up tough against the toughest guy in the league.

That was a fun game.
I thought, after Crosby's antics that the Pens would come oout fired up for the 3rd period.
Didn't happen.
Toughest guy in the league might be that guy who knocked Sean Thorton out, earlier in the year.

I got one word, DOMINATION. Huge to take 2 from Pitt. Wednesday is going to be key, if the bruins can come out and play like they have been, they should be in good shape. Having said that though, Pittsburgh is the #1 team for a reason. They are very good and have a high powered offense. The bruins have to keep playing hard and Tuukka needs to keep playing like he is.

I confess to not being a huge hockey fan, although I do enjoy the playoffs. My favorite part of this is seeing Pittsburgh fans suffer. Remember: these people are Steeler fan, too. And those are the worst people there are.

As you all probably expected, I'm the first to post about this at 12:17 AM. What a game. That was a hockey game. One of the most exciting 2-1 games I've ever seen. What a steal by the bruins. They got out worked for the most part, but they know how to win games. Jagr beats Malkin on that last play, that's the impact he can have for this team. Can't wait for game 4!!

Amazing game tonight.
Currently the 5th longest playoff game in history and still going.
Bruins look exhausted but hanging tough.
This is going to be a very tough loss for one of these two teams.
8 minutes now left in the 3rd OT period - unbelievable.

Last night was really frustrating. Should have won in either Regulation or OT. Bruins basically dominated most of the game in my opinion. Losing Horton is worse though, anxious to hear what's wrong. Also, Krug defensively is a liability. Not just cause of last night, but he continually skates across Rask in his own zone to clear pucks which bothers me. Unless he's on the offensive side, I don't really care for him.
Tuukka played well, no real soft goals. Game 2 will be another battle.

Shew! Deserved that one. Crazy how equal these teams are. One or two inches either way and you could be looking at a 2-0 series lead for either team. Fitting that it is 1-1 coming back to Boston.

Happy they finally woke up after the first period. TP, you're so right these teams are so even. They both play hard and go 100% every shift. Both goalies are on top of their games right now. It's going to be a good one in Boston on Monday.

Solid win! We played great defense and for the most part disrupted their rhythm.
I'm up at my lake house in NH and our cable couldn't be installed until tomorrow! My dad tried but, we couldn't get them to come today. So my friend and I grabbed an hdmi adaptar that connects to our iPhones and were able to stream the game that way. We charged each others phones in between periods and switched the phones every so often lol. Because it's the cup.

Wonder if douche Mike Milbury still wants to sit Jagr on the

Agreed, it was a airborne pass that landed right on Bergeron's stick quickly, giving Patrice a moment to settle it and direct it to slip past the near post.

Other than Krug in Game 1, and everyone other than Paille/Rask/Lucic in the first period of Game 2...no one has been consistently poor during this series.

Even Rich Peverley who has been skating with a fork sticking out of him has been absurd from the dot.

No thoughts on last nights game?
It was a good game, but a very poor defensive effort from the B's. I was unhappy with their energy level for the first period, and most of the second. It could have easily been all Chicago.
What about Crawford? Isn't it bizarre we can go high glove side all day long? I hope it keeps working. He didn't look that great last night. If our defense is on, and our energy level is where it's supposed to be, I can see us winning game 5.
