Went to the Guild in Pawtucket for the first time tonight - Cool space, lots of open room to move around. Wash Ashore was doing a tap takeover, so we tried three of their beers - Buddha, Love and Mona. The first kind of tastes like a light beer (Keystone Light, Narragansett) with a hops finish to me, but the other two were pretty tasty. Mona had a strong hops taste - crispy, fruity, refreshing - and the Love was just a solid ale. They also had the Narragansett porter there, which was a perfectly average porter to me.

With Smuttynose shutting down, Night Shift is going to start brewing at the guild, so that is good news for those of you who go there for drinks

Another new brewery opening up, this time in Warwick. Beautiful Disaster. They apparently already have the license which is a big hurdle. So we shall see what comes of it.

Nice! Any idea on an opening time frame or location?

I am not sure of the time frame but if I were to guess sometime in the late summer.
It's going to be at 40 Minnesota Ave (behind the Balise Dealership) at the Single Source Disaster Recovery Specialist Building.

New chain brewpub opening up at Rhode Island mall where the Sears Auto Center was.
It is going to be BJ Restaurant & Brewhouse

So if you are scoring at home, there soon will be 4 breweries in Warwick alone...
Proclamation
Apponaug Brewing (near NYLO)

I'm putting this here because I know there are several posters in the Boston area, so local to us. If mods think this should be it's own thread, let me know and I'll create one. Here's a list of Boston area (well a couple are between Boston and Providence) who's beer I enjoy. Some breweries I've been to, and some I haven't. In no particular order:

Lord Hobo (Brewery in Woburn, restaurant in Cambridge, kind of in between Kendall and Central Squares, closer to Kendall).
Aeronaut (Somerville, between Porter and Union Squares)
Bog Iron (Norton, MA - closer to Providence than Boston)
Craftroots (Milford, MA - closer to Providence)
Trillium Brewery (3 locations - Canton, MA, Fort Point in Boston, and Roslindale. Plus in the summer they have an outdoor beer garden on the Green Way.
Down the Road (Everett, MA)

I'm also dying to try:

Lampligher
Night Shift

Finally, has anyone been to

Dorchester Brewing Company? I'm wondering if they are affiliated with Sam Adams at all. Sam is pretty close by I think.

Used to travel to El Paso for work a lot and BJ's was one of our 'go to' places.
Always seemed to have a good variety of beer and pretty decent food, too.
