I think standard scoring with .5 ppr is good, positions are fine

I agree with twisted on this. The bonuses, extra flex, QB flex, all that seems a bit much. The idea of an auction, while intriguing, may be a bit much for the first go-around. I tried a mock auction just for shits and giggles and it took a very long time. But I'll go with what everyone wants to do, whatever that is.

I do agree that auction take a long time, so if people don't want to pull the trigger on that I can accept it.

whatever you guys decide is fine. I only suggested the qb flex since its basically 1.5 qb instead of 2. I like auction better but it is much more intricate so that isn't time friendly. Im just happy to participate in a league with Rhody fans so regardless of settings and scoring its all good.

thank you I was a freshman Elite 8 and a soph it was Lamar against temple. I am hoping some of that magic is in our future.

how late we talking? I can go as late as 8:30 start I'd say, but I'd rather 7:30. My Tuesday begins at 4am so I was hoping my Monday would end by 10pm, fantasy football is worth the Zzz's though.

10 team draft on yahoo won't take much longer than 45 minutes. We should start voting on scoring, rosters, etc., pretty soon. I don't care if we do it in this thread or on yahoo but we should get that started. These are the things I propose we vote on:

Scoring
1. PPR
2. Standard
3. 0.5 PPR

Lineups
1. QB/RB/RB/WR/WR/TE/FLX/DST/K
2. QB/RB/RB/WR/WR/WR/TE/DST/K
3. QB/RB/RB/WR/WR/WR/TE/FLX/DST/K

Draft
1. Snake
2. Auction

League Type
1. Redraft (pick players at draft that you use for this season only)
2. Keeper (same as (1), but you can pick an agreed number of players for next season - vote on details if league votes for this)
3. Dynasty (you keep you team from one year to the next, and "throw back" guys you don't want to keep then get than many picks in each year's draft)

These are just my ideas, so the commish can decide what else we vote on. But I do think we should do it sometime soon.

yup, the sooner the better.

Is there any chance we get to 12 teams, we really only need one more with UCH's son as our 12th.

Anything anyone wants to settle just go ahead and set up the poll, I'll set one up for scoring on the yahoo site, I don't really care where we vote here or on yahoo, I just figured we could keep the clutter off Keaneyblue. Hopefully we can get everyone to cast votes, this usually doesn't happen in my other leagues. In the case of a tie vote I'll break it, but I'll try to side with the simple and conservative for our inaugural season. If the League catches on we can always try new things in future seasons, this way I can dominate all formats!

I decided to post all these polls on the league site, just scroll down below the team list, also a poll to decide upon a waiver system. If there is anything else please post a poll so the changes can be made and set before the draft, some things can be modified in season, but most rules and setup have to be in place before the draft I believe.

I'm going to go ahead and set the draft for 8:00 pm on Monday 9/1, but continue to weigh in, if this presents a major problem for too many folks we can revisit it. We definitely want as many people drafting live as possible.

UCH, were you able to vote? the reply and vote buttons are individual. Sometimes I'm not able to post a reply on the site of my other yahoo league, sometimes refreshing helps sometimes not.

I did all of my voting. I knew I would get crushed on auction/snake, but otherwise I like the way its going. Just need one more for keepers, which I'd really like to do. If we do vote for keepers, we will have to figure out the specifics, but I think its a cool thing and none of my regular leagues have it.

Okay I hope everyone that wants to vote gets in there, I'll finalize the rules and so forth Monday, lets say by noon time, anything that is still a tie at that time will be decided by myself.

So far the line-up format has been decided at - 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex (TE,RB,WR), 1 D/ST, 1 K, the waiver system has been decided as weekly rolling, scoring will be set at 1/2 point per reception, and the draft type will be snake (reverse rolling).

still to be determined, league type needs 1 vote for keeper or 3 votes for redraft to be finalized, if no other votes are cast by noon Monday then keeper league it is.

Also yet to be determined is the play-off structure, I sort of screwed this one up, I never listed 6 teams as an option, right now 4 teams has 4 votes as does 8 teams, if no other votes are cast I'd be inclined to break the tie by voting for 8, but in truth I feel like a good compromise would be to go with 6 teams, so if no one has any objections I'll set it at 6 teams, I'd rather not re-poll at this point with only one day left before the draft and I'm pretty sure it is something that needs to be determined before the season starts. Sound fair?

I've never been in a keeper league so i don't know. But figured the cost would be drafting a guy early (not divulging any names but a couple are obvious) so you could keep him for future years. If its only one year it would hardly seem worth it, IMO. And 6 playoff teams is fine.

when I played in a keeper league we just Keeper be your first round pick but that was only 1 keeper, I don't know if anyone else has done a keeper league

So if anyone has any tech issues that cause internet interuptus during the draft and needs a pause, they can text or call me at 401-654-9769, although I've never been a league commish before so not sure how to pause the draft, but I know its possible.

I guess we can sort the keeper details out as we go along.

I swear that every year I have last pick in at least one of my 2 or 3 leagues. Annoying!! This draft will take a long time, I presume. May need to just go autopick.

Yahoo picks all the RBs first on autodraft no matter which players seem to be available at the time. Maybe I'm wrong. I'm kind of drafted out so I may or may not participate tonight.

I have a draft right now, or at least, I'm supposed to be having one... But it's running late. So, I might be on autopick for a little to a lot, depending on how long this first one runs over. (It's an in-person draft.) I ranked about 200 players though, so I should be fine to go autopick the entire way if I must.

yup, you should go to the league site and under the 'draft central' tab there is a simple test to make sure all systems are a go, the test tab should be on the right upper part of the page.
