University of Rhode Island Offering a Sport Marketing Course

Want to learn more about the sport industry?

URI is offering for the 1st time a course in sport marketing. The course will have guest speakers from the Columbus Blue Jackets, URI Athletics, Feld Entertainment, and Learfield Sports. A practical project is integrated with the course allowing students to gain industry experience by identifying and recommending potential sponsors for URI Athletics and create an RFP (Request for Proposal). Other topics include selling techniques, promotions, logo redesigns, ambush marketing, advertising, pricing, public relations, branding, and merchandising.

I imagine this class is going to fill up fast. The Economics of Sports with Dr. Ramstad was always a popular course.
