Despite a $44 million athletic budget, Temple cuts crew with cost $3 million and has 100 women athletes.

Very sketchy. Love how the president says he never considered football. What that means is that football isn't considered since it's allowed to cost as much as it needs to satisfy Temple's ridiculous high level football aspirations. They SHOULD be "considering" football. Even small adjustments in football could have saved a few million, if the end result of these cuts was "only" 3 Million.

I wonder what Temple Fans and Administration now think about the move to the AAC
In Basketball Temple is the only team of the 10 AAC Teams with a losing record at this point at 5-6.
They just lost to lowly Rutgers
One game that has to hurt was a loss at home to Texas Southern on December 18.
Philadelphia native Aaric Murray had quite a homecoming game
Having left LaSalle 2 years ago, then last year getting kicked off West Virginia by Huggybear Murray surfaced at Texas Southern
Temple lost 90-89
The stats on Murray vs Temple:
34 minutes
20-28 fg
2-5 on 3 pointers
6-8 ft
9 rebounds
48 points ---------highest in the NCAA this year. Most points ever in Temple's Liacouras Center and most points ever scored against a Temple team in it's history.
Wonder if Temple kicks themselves for not grabbing Murray.
At any rate Temple Basketball is very different than in the past 20 years - what does the future bring?

One of the losers in the chase for big-time football.....add UMass and possibly UConn (if they don't get an invite into the ACC)....they chased a football dream which was tied to them getting into a major BCS conference.....the old big east disbanded ruining all their realistic dreams to be part of the football big money picture.....I believe UMass was positioning itself to get an invite when the football schools left the old big east...

....the problem was when schools left the big east for the ACC and the Big Ten instead of staying together and adding to the big east football conference....now UMass, UConn and Temple are the only football schools left in the North and lumped into a conference that is doomed to fail in my opinion....the AAC....and the MAC for UMass....
