Know you guys are dying for some recruiting news.
Local source told me URI FB got 2 kids from Everett committed.
Not sure which two yet, cursory scroll thru twitter shows several have offers.
Everett is long time NE power and exactly the type of school they need to be getting kids from.
Will get the names.

The problem Hal, is that we signed the fewest players of any team in the CAA.

14 - Delaware
13 - James Madison
12 - Stony Brook
12 - Villanova
11 - Richmond
10- Elon
8 - William & Mary
8 - Towson
8 - Albany
7 - New Hampshire
6 - Maine
4 - Rhode Island

Not good. Not good at all.

What we've got, is a lame duck coach of a lame duck program.

Puts it in perspective Rambone, doesn't it? We only got 4 players in this new early signing period rule. Worst of any CAA team. This is what some journalists should question at the press conference when this type of thing is announced. Very simple and fact based questions like "why, Coach Fleming, did URI only sign 4 players in the new "early Signing Period? Did you get a late start? Will you be able to recover from this shortcoming in the later signing period in the Spring? How do you think the 4 players URI signed compare to the quality of player that the Top 4 signed early - Delaware (14), James Madison (13), Stony Brook (12) and Villanova (12)?"

You will not see questions like those posed to Fleming, based on the past. But those kinds of questions need to be asked.

Shows what winning does.
Fleming knows who to focus on now.
There are a billion players out there.

Who knows if those kids are any good?

Recruiting to this program will never be easy.....as long as the facilities stay worse than most high schools.....

Even more disturbing....there seems to be an increasing number of transfers out, under Fleming.

What does that tell you?

I don't know what it tells us...it's obvious the program isn't very good...so, it can't be that. What does it tell us?

I really don't think it tells us much. Recruits transfer in and out of programs all the time. Fleming has had very good recruiting classes the past couple of years. Those kids should will be upper classmen. I guess we find out this season if they translate to wins or not.

Surf is absolutely correct.
Fleming can recruit. They needed some DBs and RBs to play right away, got some. Hope he picks up other RB (s) in Feb..
Build depth on other positions.
To this point you could give his son the Pats players and facilities and they still would have trouble winning.
His play calling (or needs the responsibility pulled) has to have major improvement next season for progress.
