New Address for Ben

Journal entry by Marty Abercrombie — 10/13/2017
The address for Ben here at the Shepherd center is: Ben Abercrombie c/o Shepherd Center 2020 Peachtree Rd. NW, Atlanta, GA 30309.

Ben is having a surgical procedure this afternoon to help clear out a sinus infection. Please keep that concern and his lung congestion in your current prayers. Ben will probably be in the ICU here until Monday and then move to a regular room where he can participate in the full range of rehab activities. We ask that everyone hold off on any visits until next weekend. Everyone have a blessed weekend and keep raising Ben to God for the healing that only he can do.

Angels in Rhode Island

Journal entry by Marty Abercrombie — 10/11/2017
Ben and our family made it safe and sound to the Shepherd Center. The AirMed transportation team was amazing! We are resting comfortably tonight and looking forward to a busy day of activity tomorrow. Sherri and I are staying in an apartment complex attached to the Shepherd center. Our friends Alan and Bill drove over one of our cars so we are all set for an extended stay. After Ben gets settled in for a few days, we will determine the best time for visitors.

That was very nice of Estes. It seems he's grown up over the last 15 or so years, because I seem to remember his defense taking cheap shots on Jayson Davis and him all but endorsing the late and out of bounds hits.

Kid seems like a quality kid and I feel terrible about what happened to him, but they lose me when he starts talking about seeing spirits and his mom talks about hearing voices. No thank you to that nonsense.

I wonder if Marvin Beauvais has reached out to him.

I can't begin to imagine the nightmare he's had to endure. Keep fighting.

Anybody read the comments where that person uses this as an example of how evil football is? Ranting on about how it's a scam and all that.

just thought it was funny that they used a soccer ball as their avatar....

What would be stopping Harvard and/or the Red Sox from making sure he's at the Yale game? I can't imagine there could be any more NCAA issues that could get in the way.
