2 FB players suspended in connection with assault

This is the first I heard of this incident.
Not good, to say the least.
The players did not register for the spring semester.

This was covered extensively in ProJo and local media about a week or so ago.
Suspension warranted -yes.
No finding of guilt thru student disciplinary system,no charges brought by SK PD.
A. schools can release the names of the players found guilty
B. Police do not need victims cooperation to press charges

university and cops are covering for the guilty party it appears.

It's still not clear to me. So no criminal charges AND they were found not guilty by URI conduct board. But perhaps they were told not to come back to URI for Spring semester by football coach or someone else?

It is virtually impossible to prove non-consensual sex without the cooperation of the victim....for many different reasons victims choose not to cooperate....some good and some bad reasons....

The article says the student conduct board found them responsible.

Hopefully this and the frat incident in the fall are two isolated incidents and not a trend of the football program bringing in poor character people just to try and win more games.
