Offenses like Ehrhardt's are common now. Those teams coached buy Griffin were ground breaking, like Keaney's Fast Break basketball.

It looks like there are 30 quarterbacks that are in the HOF that played after 1AA/FCS was established in 1978 and of those it looks like 11 of those played at the 1AA/FCS level or lower, so it's certainly not unheard of. That said, the gap between the end of his career and now would seem to make it on the unlikely side that he gets in.

Rhody were trailblazers in those two years (84 & 85) - Erhardt was our Brady. Dimaggio and Foster were our Gronk and Hernandez. Damien Reilly was our Randy Moss. Throw in Doug Haynes. We threw on every down, and won games 56-42. We were ahead of our time by a lot and there were 10-12K people at every game.
