DeSilva is 6'6" 260. Interestingly, I was looking at Bryan Stork's recruiting profile when he was coming out of high school last night. He was a 6'6" 260 TE out of Florida. Last year he was the starting center on the college football champion and Sunday he will start at center in the Super Bowl.

I saw him play a couple times when they played Narragansett the past couple years. He definitely has nice qualities. He was poised in the pocket, wasn't quick to tuck and made good decisions when to run and when to throw ball away. He made good reads too. He was definitely the biggest and most talented kid on the field. He throws a nice ball and was tough to bring down and Gansett had some hard hitters. He has the size, appeared to have the poise, and smarts. One concern as with all RI kids and especially with him, is that it's RI football and Div IV at that. They were in D3 last year and played better talent(Gansett, Middletown, Moses Brown, EG, etc) but again still RI football. As a football coach myself, one this is for sure and that is you can't teach SIZE! He definitely has that.

Scott Desilva was great DE from EP on 1984 championship team.
Passed away about 10 yrs. ago.

Scott was a good player at URI. At 6-6 and 260, I see the kid at a diffent spot than QB eventually.
