Been waiting for this for 8 years, simply because he played at PCD. They should've had a story on him in 06, local kid doing well for NCAA-bound Rams. Then when he made the Dynamo in 08 and was nearly rookie-of-the-year. Then MLS All-Star in 09. Then he got his first cap in 10, first WCQ game in 12, etc.

Anyway, nice to see the love. This month is gonna be great!

I'm with the men in blazers: world champs on july 13! And instead of kyle beckerman scoring the winning goal, maybe it comes off the head of our own geoff cameron!

The diving and general poor sportsmanship in pro soccer disgusts me, as a person who has played soccer since I was 8. Sure hope I don't see Geoff participate in that disgraceful FIFA-approved act. I don't think he does, from what I've seen.

Typically don't see the USMNT taking dives...maybe that is just me being biased...Italy on the other hand flops at any chance they get

I heard the US is typically too nice, too american.
We need to be tougher, more physical, and play to the refs more.
Admittedly the diving is weak, and should be penalized.
But drawing a foul when you get hit doesn't mean you have to
be greg louganis.

Anyway, i want a selfie with the trophy!

Completely agree. Brazil was shameful. Poor opening game from a player/game integrity perspective. Some of those guys are little sallies on the field. They fall down when the wind blows the wrong way.
I see Geoff performing well. I think him and Besler will have a solid performance.

unfortunately our Geoff was the culprit on both Portugal goals yesterday. That said in between the first minute and last minute he played great.
