FOOTBALL: Game #5 CCSU at Rhody

Central CT beat Albany also last week, by 3 in Albany.
It could be two closely matched teams. http://www.ccsubluedevils.com/sports/fb ... 4/schedule

Not to beat a dead horse but if we fall behind on Saturday, you might want to give someone else a chance at qb. Against W and M we are down 20 in the fourth quarter, wouldn't that have been a good time to get "someone else's feet wet".

Because coaching staff is afraid to lose by more than 20 even if it meant they improve their chances for wins in the future.

I don't get it. If you're going to lose, what difference does it make if it's by 20 or by 41?

My god offline, you are correct. I mean 1-4. They go up there 2-3,they can beat Brown and go 3-3.

Offline- not being mean-spirited or facetious, but can you see where it is easy to lose count ??
Hate to say this, but if they sputter tomorrow and does not make a change at QB,the AD needs to step in.

Hal Kopp, it's funny you thought the other poster's name was "Offline". That is just like an on-off indication to show which members are currently using the site.

It was rhodyfan3 who actually helped point out the team's record.

Thanks for posting that RF1. Interesting to see people say that Meade is a very nice set up. From their board.

"Here's another thing that will never happen however we can dream. Wouldn't it be nice if CCSU could tear down the gym and make it a parking lot and build an arena on the football parking lot grounds and have it attach to the football field similar to the Ryan Center. That was a very nice setup."

View from section 9
1. Great day!
2. I thought our offensive play selection was better. Bentsen threw a couple of long passes on first down.
3. Bensten had a good day. Only a couple of times did he force throws - one was intercepted and the other it looked like he didn't look at the receiver at all. Nice use of the tight end on Saturday.
4. Runners and the o-line looked good. Hopefully, it will continue against better competition.
5. Love our defense!! Made big play after big play.
6. Rhody record - We took our first time out with 3 minutes left in the first half.
7. Not sure but there was some arguing between coaches after CCSU ran back a kick off for multiple yards. Did not try to kick the ball deep in the second half.
8. Peavy took some snaps in the 4th quarter, but because of the score, did not throw a pass.
9. Nice to see them sing the fight song!
10. BTW, Jay, that was me sitting next to ATP!
11. Beat Brown

Great day of football in Kingston. Enjoyed tailgating with URI96 and his family and watching the game with Neil with my kid on my lap.

Offensive play calling was less "hesitant". Compared to first home game, they went with the first play called most of the time, rather than revising over and over after lining up.

Not mine! :) I was VERY happy for the generous donation of two general admission (as if I would take my 2yr old onto the East stands) tickets while i was in line to buy a ticket.

There were so few fans in the "bench" seats up against the Ryan Center that I just went up there. When Section 9 (real blue seats) was clearly not going to be full, I moved over to sit with with the legendary Ram Fan, Neil. It was great to sit with Neil and chat about the game and raising kids when you're a rabid Ram Fan.

How much would it cost to get KeaneyBlue.com on the scoreboard during a stoppage in play? hahaha
