We were 0-11 last year? Ouch.

Proof TP has made every effort to wipe that nightmare of a season from his memory.

Re: An FBS transfer @ QB
Doesn't he have to sit a year due to transferring? This URI release makes him seem like the immediate backup. I'm all for seeing Luke Casey play. I was very surprised to read that Bentsen is the most accurate passer in school history...

I believe if you switch divisions, you have immediately eligibility.Andrew wrote:Doesn't he have to sit a year due to transferring? This URI release makes him seem like the immediate backup. Re: An FBS transfer @ QB
After last years 0-11 debacle, i want to see Kolt Peavey start! The small excerpt about him in that GoRhody article is fairly impressive.

Re: An FBS transfer @ QB
I probably did know it at the time, but if you had asked me last night I would have said 2-9 or 1-10. I did forget they were that bad.
You can play right away if you transfer from an FBS school to an FCS school.

He can play immediately.....also if a D1 basketball player transfers to D2 or 3 they can play without sitting.....

I hope this is true, our O line is pretty big so lets give them something good to protect. QB was a huge weak spot for us and a southern boy is just what we need.

Re: An FBS transfer @ QB
I would think Peavey will get every chance to start. With decent WRs and TEs, Bentsen was disappointing last year.
(I think this team will be good defensively; if they can get any offense, they can move back to respectability.)

Re: An FBS transfer @ QB
I agree, Iggy. GoRhody.com even hinted at Peavey getting a chance to start (emphasis mine):
http://www.gorhody.com/sports/m-footbl/ ... 0725nsof1vSouth Alabama transfer Kolt Peavey (Bolivar, Mo.) enters camp as the main backup and has the potential to push for playing time.
