Re: interesting article

2010 we had Probst, and 5 wins, I think the NEC decision was made EOY 2010
2011, we played Syracuse tuff, won only 3 games with Trainer.
2012 we were 0-11, the NEC implications start to kick in.
2013 3-9 Trainers last season.

Re: interesting article

Fleming inherited a team without much talent. The almost move to the NEC cost up 5-7 years.
Facilities are the worst. I don't agree with many coaching decisions the last two years, the team is so much better than it was 5 years ago.

Re: Football media day Tuesday 7/24

I think if URI basketball did not have the Ryan Center and still played in Keaney, URI would not have been in NCAA tournament. Facilities are not everything, but it is an arms race and you need to compete in the arms race. It has to be a lot easier recruiting someone who comes to the Ryan Center and...

Rhodysk, I agree.
Yes, facilities are not everything, but football facilities are below what most Div II schools have, below the facilities of all the schools in the Northeast Conference, worst facilities in CAA, and worse than most high schools in RI, except for maybe North Providence High School.

I have mixed feeling about artificial turf, are their health concerns with the black pellets? However, the players seem to like playing on it. That Stadium design is now maybe 14 years old. I think Meade field is too small. You need to have a place you can play football and soccer, so Meade if too small, and it has flooded twice big time in last 12 years. No track, NCAA does not want a soccer/football and track together. RICollege will hav...

I think URI made a great attempt to keep Hurley. I wanted him to stay. I think Tootell should be gutted and new pools built, and a practice facility put into place.
