Everyone keeps saying the season looks different if we shot even an average percentage this year...and that is true. But we don't. So who or what is to blame? Something and or someone has to be accountable for this so called display of basketball. If we can't figure out the problem, how do we fix it?

Remember, almost universally, just 5-6 short months ago next years team was projected to be one of the best in URI history.

It seemed like almost every possession ended with a bad shot as the shot clock wound down...it was driving Steve and Don crazy! They shot the 3 overall OK today, but the overall FG pct is hard to believe. We are the bad news bears of college basketball right now.

Poor CL, what’s he supposed to do? he gets the ball and gets double or triple teamed, but has no option but try and take a shot since the options to pass it to can’t hit the side of a barn even when wide open.

I don't think Cox is doing a good job, but if we are even just an average shooting team it makes everyone look a lot better and his job a lot easier. I think the vast majority of the problems has to do with our guards that can't shoot and the one guy who gets to the foul line a ton can't hit FT's. S...

I never have inside info, but in this case I did happen talk to someone very close to the program at a game recently and they said he's a PF/4. Take it for what it's worth and who knows what will happen in 10/11 months when he can play (without a waiver).

You cannot be 5’9” and shoot that poorly from 3. If he is not a shooter and people think Jeff should be the lead guard when on the court at the same time, then where does Fatts fit in? Not a scorer or a PG...what is he?

I agree that the long breaks are not helping, as i think the poor shooting is in their heads now, and having too much time to stew on it between games is not helping. They just need to keep playing and not overthink it. You can see them draining 3's during the warm up at a good clip.

We are traveling a lot, and yes we can’t seem to beat people off the dribble or consistently hit a jump shot.
