if the newcomers are as "advertised" I think we are going to see a very different type of team on both sides of the ball next year....the offensive pace will be much faster and we will be applying defensive pressure all over the floor...this means that the depth will have to come into play...

from what I have seen in the close games that we end up losing it has been a failure of the players to execute in the last 90 seconds of the game...most of the times the opportunity is there and they just do not get it done...I don't think another coach changes that...missed key free throws and blow...

It is very early in the season and this team will continue to get better and better..as will Thompson. He is just out of high school and is clearly not yet comfortable with the level of competition he is facing today. He will get comfortable and he will be fine.

As I recall ,I believe on the 30 for 30 episode on the Big East,...St. John back in the "glory days" successfully recruited the inner NYC kids when they did not have athletic dorms...this allowed them to pay the kids for housing while they were actually living at home with their families.....

I have no problem with Dan's sideline demeanor.....I like the intensity and it influences the players as well, in my opinion...

We should be deeper next year and I think next season we will see an attack much like the one that VCU uses with a lot of players involved...starters will not necessarily see the most playing time...fouls and situations will dictate that more than starting role..
