Hammond played 12 minutes against RIC and scored 2 points on free throws (50% FT). Sheppard was supposed to be our 3 pt guy. I always go the optimist route, and would have been much more bullish if we had Walker and Sheppard. Really concerned about our depth without them, even with expected improvement from Martin and Tate.

The unfortunate part is that a game like this is most beneficial for new faces that may be critical pieces of the team in games that matter, ie Sheppard and Walker. For the rest of the team it’s just get through it without injury and get the freshmen a first game under the lights.
