Re: '14 MA SG Jared Terrell (URI Commit)

Important note from Zag's article: Terrell will play in a three-guard set with incoming guard Jarvis Garrett and sophomore E.C. Matthews. “They’ll play three guards, so all three of us will be playing with the ball in our hands and will be able to do multiple things,” Terrell said. A PG (Garrett, Mi...

TP, a team did it over the past 2 years. We played them each year actually. Does Larry Brown ring a bell? SMU was NEVER a basketball school. Ever. In 2013, they recruited Kevin Frazier, an ESPN Top 100 SG, and 4 star recruit. In this upcoming recruiting class, he has the 5th ranked recruit IN THE N...

Gerard Coleman officially transferring. I'd rather have him than Ingram, personally. Notable: The 6-foot-4 shooting guard is expected to go back to New England for his last season. http://www.cbssports.com/collegebasketball/eye-on-college-basketball/24559801/gerard-coleman-transferring-from-gonzaga-...

Re: Patriots win, but lose

Draft wasn't particularly impressive. Easley, their first round pick, DE, has had two major knee injuries. Apparently he has enormous potential, but his knees scared a lot of teams off. They took Garoppolo way too early. I don't know if he's that much better than any QB taken in the later rounds (4-...

We have scholarships for both Terrell and Ingraham, correct? Also, a 6'2" SG (Terrell) and a 6'7" SG/SF (Ingraham) are not redundant players, so it may not be a straight plan A and plan B situation. Yes, space for both. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AunH0BfS-_mxdG1GX01XYkhz...

Re: Jordan Hare's Roster Status?

Really surprised, honestly. Let's hope he can get (and keep) his affairs in order. Sounds like the year off was a good thing for him and his family. Frontcourt is crowded, especially if we get Gustys. There'll be minutes for all though, with the amount of fouling we've demonstrated we're capable of.

Thanks for the clarification. I was operating under the presumption that PC/BC were official, while we were left in the dark. If they get unofficial visits and we don't, we're 99.9% out.

Someone mentioned this earlier in the thread, but perhaps I missed when/if it was answered: Terrell already took an official here in the fall. Is he allowed to take another official here? If he's not allowed to take an official here, then no visit makes sense. (Although he could take an unofficial, ...

Great how that article points out how the state has to dedicate more funds to "corrections costs". I'm not sure of the exact dollar figure, but I believe it's ~$40k+ a year per inmate at the ACI. Free healthcare, free education, etc.. for criminals. I could go on a huge rant, but I'm not....

I see EC/Hallice the same way I see Gustys/Hare. I would take both of them 10/10 times over either one or the other, and I see no point in trying to argue who is better because it really doesn't matter. Give me all of the talented guys I can get and we'll figure out how to use them later. In Hallic...

Honestly surprised we made such an aggressive offer, and the coach in waiting thing seems so strange this early in Hurley's tenure. Can't blame him for leaving for more money, but the salaries were competitive enough, IMO. Can't say administration didn't try to keep him, that's for sure. Best of luc...

We don't know if Preston was offered a raise yet or not.

Playing devil's advocate: is Preston worth 160K? Or, can you find someone who can give you at least 65% of Preston at 100K, and spend the difference in salaries towards other improvements?

This is exciting; really outside-the-box thinking. If we don't have Hare or Gustys, is it still bad? We'll have Biruta, Iffy, Watson, Martin in the frontcourt, and this kid redshirting. Even with foul trouble, how many good big men are in the A10? A stretch shooter is key, IMO. Edit: Found a couple ...

Two things about this that strike me: this is a kid that graduated from college (I think in three years) and this happened in Toronto, I believe.
