It is obviously very difficult to run an offense with the starting 5 including Alex and Malik who are both non factors in a half court offense. 5 on 3 won't cut it al all. Malik needs to shoot some mid range jumpers to be effective.

We went with Rory at the 5 for a short stretch. He put him in over Tchikou in first half. We will really struggle to defend and get rebounds with Rory at the 5. Malik is a man it’s different. Just so you know: Cooper who torched us for 20 points (5 for 8 on 3s) turned 24 years old last month and is in his 6th year of college basketball. We are a very young team but playing against guys like that only makes our youth a bigger issue.

Other than no defense at the rim we played great defense away from the basket. In order for us to win we need real good games from Freeman, Leggett and Carey. Unfortunately Carey was a no show tonight. Defensive performances by Samb and Stewart really bad tonight along with absolutely poor rebounding.

Not only do we not have an inside offensive game we hardly ever have 5 guys on the floor together that are a threat to score. Martin, Thomas, Alex and Samb do not look to shoot the ball. Let's not forget that Archie started this rebuild not at ground zero but under ground. Also keep in mind that his assistants were hired after Archie so that more time had elapsed.

Take it easy on Weston. He is a red shirt freshman who played in only one game for Seton Hall last year. In other words he was beyond rusty when our season started and his playing time recently has been on the upswing.

We don't have any offense down low so it is more difficult to get open outside shots. Samb way too soft and has no presence at all on offense and defense. Gotta try playing Alex a lot more.

Martin now giving Thomas a run for his money for the worse 3 point shooting %. For us to have a chance against the better teams on our schedule Martin has to shoot better. He gets wide open 3s and needs to hit them. Carey could start getting some of his minutes.
