Re: Understanding the NIL

I'm going to guess that if we want to compete at the top of the A10, it will cost a million a year or more. At least 100k average for a high level A10 starter. That's 500k for the starting 5. And this is for the A10. Who gives a fuck how good a recruiter you are anymore? You will have one recruiting...

NIL is kaput.

It's a pay to play free for all.

Highest bidder wins.

Unfortunately we are going to be under bidders for a lot of players that could really help us

50k won't buy a bucket of shit.

Re: Men's Basketball Transfer Carousel and Portal - 2024-25

Hammond could be another Tyson Wheeler, unfortunately he probably will be that for a P5 school by the time he's a junior or senior. If he's really good as a freshmen he's as good as gone soon after, unless we can throw a huge pile of money at him, and even that might not be enough. We are ultimately...

I probably will have to end my donation to athletics in the near future in order to continue my contribution to the collective. Will get harder to do both. The older I get, the less money I got. We will really know the writing's on the wall when or if Hammond enters the portal.

This stealth mode plus the footdragging about KJ is just more frustration surrounding this program.

Not so much now. Even when we do add transfers, what confidence is there that they will be good?

The biggest problem Archie will have, is trying to convince good players to come to a program that's been down in the dumps for a while now. It's not just about money, at least I hope not. What could happen is that when Dan retires he moves back to RI so Andrea can beach it at her hearts content, and Dan could become an advisor to our program like Calhoun did at UConn.

Dan might give up coaching but he will always be involved with basketball, he's the ultimate hoop junkie.
