Re: Week 2, 9/12 at Albany 3:30

The problem is, they don't look prepared to play. Talent or no talent, that's on the coaches.

Is Fleming overmatched? If true, they really have no chance.

Great combination of bad coaching and bad players.

The perfect storm of suck.

Hassan wasn't 100% the last part of last year either. EC had foot AND finger issues. Garrett had foot issues. Buchanan and Biruta were also less than 100% much of the year. Nothing that $20-$30 million won't cure. Nobody WANTS to see football bite the dust. But last week was terrible. Really, how good is Syracuse? ATP, that's what I'm waiting to see. The coaches all say there's more talent here. We'll see. A few wins, and competitive against the better CAA teams, and things might be looking up. That ranking about mirrors where they were last year.

This year no Boatright, but some good [but young] players and a more balanced team.

I think the AAC will be better at the bottom [they were horrendous there last year] so a little better overall.

Very well reasoned, ramster. Except the last sentence. If we keep winning an average of ONE game a year, which I think is the average of the last 4 years, it's got to go. The program, that is. True. I do expect EC to be better than last year though, what with all the injuries. Since URI projects to be a much more balanced team than St. Joes, I do think it will be hard for EC to be POY.
