Re: ARD Named Interim Head Coach at College of Charleston
This coaching search is now officially a mess. It's been headed in that direction for a while, but it's finally arrived.
Anthony Johnson was expected to be named the new coach, possibly today
And then he withdrew his name from consideration.
End of August and that team does not have a head coach,

Re: EC Matthews- Adidas Nations
Pull quotes on what? That many people thought EC would never be a pg on this team? Because saying that is what seems revisionist. Minnis eventually replaced Powell anyway. Seems like you may be trying to prove a point that no one is arguing. And as a fan, it's easy to say just throw the freshmen int...

I think most here thought EC could become a PG, but certainly not immediately. BAR, good points. you know that you and I argued quite a bit about MP and EC, at the beginning of last season. I did not want MP and I was definitely in the minority on MP. The majority wanted MP starting at PG from Day 1. Some wanted Biggie but not many. I never wanted MP even in my top 8 players ...

Fun list to read through- a project several years in the making, obviously, but they attended a game at each of the 351 Division 1 schools and ranked the experience. The Ryan Center came in at 123. The game was from 2/12/11, an OT win over Charlotte. http://www.stadiumjourney.com/news/03-28-2014/599...

This was explained in depth by Bill Koch but basically, Powell will not be a Ram next season, but he counts against scholarships unless he signs with someone else.
Basically, they had to weigh the risk, but it was more important to get Powell ok academically to secure the APR.

EC wants to be Chaz so badly. Matthews has more talent and size, but the way he watched Williams take over games, that's part of what motivates him. He'll get it. VCU, Dayton seem to be consensus top 2, and then it really could go a lot of different ways. Saint Louis is picked 12th here. Harsh, but ...

With all due respect to the NCA&T coach, all guards should have a floater in their game, especially if they're under 6 feet. It is a tough shot but at least work on it, get the timing down. Watch Derrick Rose play. If your game is always going straight to the basket, the defense is a step ahead ...
