Re: Ryan Center In-Game Experience - Issues and Upgrades

There is plenty to bitch about, ace, but plenty to be proud of as well. I think we give plenty of attention to all the good things going on too. We have all raved about the floor, the new scoreboard, the ribbon wrap, etc. Granted his visit was before any of these improvements. But there is no way t...

Re: Ryan Center In-Game Experience - Issues and Upgrades

Fun list to read through- a project several years in the making, obviously, but they attended a game at each of the 351 Division 1 schools and ranked the experience. The Ryan Center came in at 123. The game was from 2/12/11, an OT win over Charlotte. http://www.stadiumjourney.com/news/03-28-2014/599...

One of the New Heights guys, who I like a lot, keeps trying to push a comparison to Hassan, but I'm not sure how many others think that. Sanders' final list is a mixed bag- from Seton Hall to Old Dominion to VCU, who hasn't officially offered yet.

Re: Aaron Brown So Miss Transfer

This was explained in depth by Bill Koch but basically, Powell will not be a Ram next season, but he counts against scholarships unless he signs with someone else.

Basically, they had to weigh the risk, but it was more important to get Powell ok academically to secure the APR.

Re: Early A-10 Predictions

All of that, I guess, but I'm pretty sure EC has specifically talked about wanting to be the kind of player who imposes his will on the other team and specifically mentioned Williams. They know what you're going to do, but they still can't stop you, carry your team kind of thing. And a guy like Will...

Re: Early A-10 Predictions

EC wants to be Chaz so badly. Matthews has more talent and size, but the way he watched Williams take over games, that's part of what motivates him. He'll get it. VCU, Dayton seem to be consensus top 2, and then it really could go a lot of different ways. Saint Louis is picked 12th here. Harsh, but ...

Re: Next Year

With all due respect to the NCA&T coach, all guards should have a floater in their game, especially if they're under 6 feet. It is a tough shot but at least work on it, get the timing down. Watch Derrick Rose play. If your game is always going straight to the basket, the defense is a step ahead ...

I'm of the belief that, almost without exception, you bring in a quality guard each recruiting class. So far, they've made short lists for Poyser and Mann. A '15 would join Garrett (So), Terrell (So), Matthews (Jr), Butler (Jr), and Minnis (Sr). If you wait a year, Minnis and possibly Matthews are g...
