Gil could be well served by a rest day or two, similar to EC. In the meantime, if Reischel can just stick to what he does best on not try to do things like handle the ball in transition then I think this team could get by without Gil for a game or two. If he were a 45% shooter from three I would consider it, but I don't see a clear path to playing time for him. It is better to start staggering some of these classes. You don't want to have 3 senior guards three years from now.

Am I the only one who wanted Dayton to win? As our last regular season chance at a resume building win, I want them to be as highly ranked as possible when we play them. I'm guessing most people are with you here. I guess one train of thought is that winning the conference would be helped by Dayton...

I feel like there is a sense here that RPI is the only selection criteria. It is a valuable component of the selection criteria, but it isn't an automatic thing where they just take the highest however many teams in the RPI to round out the field.

Dayton holds on to win the rock fight, 51-44. I said it earlier and I still think it: SLU reminds me quite a bit of us last year. They play tough on most nights, but they're young and are a year away from being able to finish these games.
