Wow sure does make the schedule sound rough when laid out like that. Great to hear them say that they are scheduling with at-large bids in mind though.

Agreed, I fall mostly in your #1 situation. I'm just looking forward to seeing this team develop over the year and start the rebirth of this program. Going to be an up and down season in my opinion, but I do feel like there will be an upset or two along the way.

Seems like its just safe to assume we play without him this year. If he somehow becomes eligible it'll be a pleasant surprise. Even more to look forward to for next year I guess.

Weird, so maybe they had to get him qualified first before they could file the waiver to play this year? So confusing...

This is probably an impossible question to answer with certainty, but does the NCAA "have to" rule on it before the season starts? Or can they essentially hold him hostage without a decision well into the season?

Don't know for sure, but maybe just so they can make it alot more informal. Maybe not play full halfs, setup certain situations, stuff like that.

Take it for what its worth, but our RR12345 or whatever buddy on Twitter said its a longshot that he is eligible. Given his track record, that actually made me hopeful that he WOULD end up being eligible.

St. John's has theirs at 7 and Rutgers is at 9:30, so it should be feasible

Munford does seem like he could be a bit of an X factor. I know almost nothing about him, but the few things I have heard is kind of along the lines of "watch out for this kid, could surprise some people".

I certainly hope thats the case.

I think his OOC predictions are pretty solid. Maybe not the exact games, but the record. As for the conference, I think if the team really comes together during the early portion of the season then we can do better then 3 wins.

I agree with the others that said the only real thing that matters is winning. Even if you are able to get some students excited early in the year, they will quickly lose interest if the wins aren't there. I used to go to all the games as a student because I am a die hard Rhody and college hoops fan...

While I like the Hurley ideas, it would become an issue if/when he were to leave the program down the road. I think we should stick with something that has more staying power. Of course I hope he does amazing things here and stays forever, but probably not very realistic.
