Re: '15 JUCO PF - Andre Berry (URI Commit)
In that ARD-Berry story or whatever it is, the asst coach would not come out looking too great, which is not the intended consequence of that tale, I'm sure. There's a time and place for that but during drills and conditioning for a player who needs it? I'm not certain of the motive, but there's an...

Re: '15 JUCO PF - Andre Berry (URI Commit)
I basically agree with you, rod, but I also think that if the videos of Berry from juco showed him just crushing people and dominating with raw strength I would be more skeptical of carrying that over than seeing good footwork and soft hands. To me, that is stuff that can transfer - not to say it wi...

Why don't we give this kid a chance to be with Marshall and get himself in shape instead of trashing him....sheesh. As a counterpoint to ramsey, who we know to be as reliable of a source as you can get, here is Brian Keiper on A10Talk on Berry: Andre Berry was a big fat kid who played basketball. N...

Re: 2015-16 Starting Five Predictions?
Really? With VCU dropping what 3-4 teams do you see being pretty much locks, if only 2 would shock you. I am afraid the A10 as a whole will be down and that will really hurt the RPI this year. I am not sure there will be lots of quality wins to get. It isn't always easy to say who the teams will be...

I think anyone who doesn't say those five is kind of nuts. If I were betting, I'd have all my chips on that. But, I still wouldn't mind seeing Earl starting for the sake of a more traditional lineup and using Iverson as the first guy off the bench that can sub in for any of the five guys, depending ...

As much as it is great that Kuran is eligible for the entire season, it is also awesome that the decision came now and not, say, in October. Allows the staff to commit fully to having him available in their preparation and not have to waste time on contingencies.

Agree. Biruta was much more skilled than is reasonable to expect from Watson, but I think whatever offense you get from Watson is mostly gravy. A valuable contribution from him will be to eat up space in the middle on defense, rebound and be respectable guarding his man in the post. Be a brute, basi...

Neither Watson or Berry are as talented as Biruta. I don't agree with this. Would be a scheduling win for sure, but would also be a rock fight. Re: A-10 Announces Men’s Basketball Schedule Pairings
Eh….Doesn't help the SOS by not playing the best teams in the conference twice. Well four of the teams are locked in year over year based on geography, so getting Dayton as the 5th team was as good as we were going to do. Last year it was SLU and that did hurt our SOS. Why is it that people think that URI can't get big boy teams to play at the Ryan Center or that they won't invite the Rams to their gyms? The only way it would be possible is if Brady presents information in an attempt to clear his name that actually reveals previously unknown violations, which result in additional discipline. It is hard to imagine that kind of miscalculation, but theoretically it is possible I guess.

That's true. He's already been convicted in the court of public opinion, in the minds of almost everybody that's not a Pats fan. The NFL cannot prove he knew. I don't see him playing away from the basket, but I also don't think he is big enough to play as the lone big with four guards for long stretches. We will see. I still think Watson is good. Probably not a more skilled player than Iverson, but Iverson will get some of his minutes on the wing.
