Rod, there are folks in both camps that want nothing but bad things to happen to the other camp. Most real basketball fans want all the local teams to be good. It's just more exciting here when it is. Having Hurley leave will be bad for the state, not just for URI. Take it with a grain of salt.

I think URI lacks a few amenities that other schools already have. A nice practice facility is one. And athlete-only dorms is another. They'd be nice to have, but I doubt URI is making them a priority. Funny thing, the only time I recall URI competing to hold onto a coach was Baron ... with the abs...

Looks like UCLA is now making a run at Stevens. So far, he hasn't turned them down yet. Might be the perfect time for him to go. Butler, imo may have peaked, now that they are going to the BE where they are going to find it a LOT harder to Dance in the future. Steven's stock is still high right now...
