Re: Conference Realignment
Will URI continue to invest in URI basketball at this level in a 1 bid A10? Will most of the teams except the few with aspirations beyond the A10, reduce their commitments? I would think many would say why continue to invest at this level with a 1 in 100 chance of making the NCAA after this commissi...

This ranking groups us in with schools such as Bryant and PC, where the US news one has them broken into categories such as regional or national universities. This ranking is much better for us than being 182 in National Universities in US News, as that is just us compared to our cohort. And in US N...

You can recruit players by telling them they will have for all intents and purposes, a live tryout in front of all these top teams and may get a better offer at the end of the season if they play well.

It would seem to me that concerts or other events at either Meade or the Ryan would make most sense during the summer when south county is most active and parking wouldn’t be an issue on campus. There are tons of mid sized venues all through New England that get decent shows during the summer.

I would add one caveat to that…as long as they are good AND stay. If you want NCAAT appearances, you've come to the wrong Conference. In the A-10, only 1 out of 15 goes to the NCAA. If that becomes the norm, the RC will be paying people to come. That’s my sentiment exactly. If 1 bid becomes the norm and not an outlier and we are not the perennial 1 team, then we ...
