Years ago, mid 70's, UVM did something along the lines of going private and that resulted in them dropping football. The quarterback was considered a very good player and ended up at Brown (Bob Bateman). Today, UVM describes itself as a quasi state school, getting 13% of its budget from the state.

RR02 brings up some good points. I graduated in 83 and played in a lot of pick up games at Keaney and Boon St. with varsity players. I also played with a lot of football players. That interaction made me want to go to the games even more.

Mike Moten had a monster dunk to change the momentum in that game. It was a shame that he was at URI at the same time that Jeff Kent was. I wish they could have spaced out their careers a bit.

They should go visit The Fort at a Revs match. Those guys could give them a few pointers. That section stays jacked for 90 minutes of a soccer match. Just imagine what they could do with an exciting basketball game.

He reminds me of a combo of Kyle Ivy-Jones with the body and Damont Collins with the goggles. Imagine if he performs like the two of them combined? I would be happy with that.

i sat courtside at bryant last year for $15. my kid used to complain about contact at her games. she could not believe what went on and what was said under the basket. for a little more, we sit in the 300's at uri and don't get near the experience.

i only saw the second half because of my kids soccer match, but i was really impressed by our ball movement. i hope that it was good execution on our part and not crappy defense by SMU.
