Re: Game #5: URI vs. Loyola (MD)
I think that this year, all we can do is hang our hat on the improvement of the new players, especially on defense. The effort is there from all of them in that regard, but that extra effort takes away from what little offense they can generate. Btw, what was up with Aaman? 7 minutes and no points. ...

Re: Game #5: URI vs. Loyola (MD)
I'm sorry, but it's total clean house time, before some of the old habits of the past regime's players are put behind us. Powell, Nik, and Malone still tend to revert to their old tricks with the game on the line. They would probably need another offseason of coaching and training, to substantially ...

Powell couldn't hit the side of a barn tonight, and Nik forgot how to shoot FT's. It's tough when you have to go with basically 6 players. Something tells me Hurley will make sure this team, including the new guys next year, shoots FT's better.

Yeah, there will be only 2 players left next year from the previous regime. Powell and TJ, if they both stay. Biruta, Aaman, Hare, and don't forget the Big O. Maybe even another front court recruit.
Should be as good a front court overall as it gets in the A10.
For sure, it'll be as good a front court as it's EVER been at Rhody.

I can see Depaul and Creighton to the A10. Not so sure about Marquette. What a REALLY nice BB conference we will have.
Could you imagine if the BE totally collapses, and say, Seton Hall and PC want in?

Another stake in the heart for the BE. UConn is itching to join the ACC, and I would think Louisville now wants out too, maybe to the SEC?
Looks like the BE is going to end up as an all Catholic conference [in BB] after all!
But not the way they envisioned it, that's for sure!

There's 50 million reasons why Maryland probably won't move to the B10.
As in moolah, the fee to leave the ACC. Only way it happens is they make a deal somehow, which of course is always possible.

Yep. Martin and Mathews are NBA potential types. Minnis and Reischel are good, but not quite as good.
Just need another big, and a backup for Munford at SG, and this team will be 2 quality players deep at every position.
When can we say that's ever happened at Rhody?
