Re: New A10 - URI Basketball's Conference Future

Regarding GMU turning down an invite to the A10 last year, they do have a very similar profile to VCU, so I can see how the A10 may have invited them before VCU. I am guessing Butler got the first invite, GMU got the second invite, and VCU got the third invite after GMU turned the A10 down. GMU NCAA...

I watched the Press Conference yesterday for GMU, and read all the information on it. GMU has a President who was very loyal to the CAA. He retired. Baron was at Bonnies before URI, and he has won like 38,495 A10 COYs. It was actually said seriously by an announcer, but when it is repeated here it is said in jest (and with some level of disgust). Oh ok, now I got it. I completely forgot about Baron's St. Bonaventure tenure. Baron started at St....

DFF, I hope they take a good look at Murray St. Not sold on Cleveland St, although they could do worse. I like Davidson too, but they're more Southern than Midwestern. FWIW, Cleveland State's attendance is poor. I think everybody goes to the Cavs NBA games, college basketball is not big in Cleveland.

Rpiforecast is projecting Canisius to finish at 17-12, #127. 1. Cincinnati is not going with the Carholic schools. Part of the reason the C7 want out is that they are upset with UC for campaigning openly to get into the ACC. If they are talking about merging the A10 and Big East and then dropping 5 of the A10 schools, then how about dropping Duquesne, Fordham, LaSalle, and St. Bonaventure.
