Re: 2015-16 OOC opponents??
I may be off base here, but I think Dan has been trying to get home-and-homes against top 50's. For URI, that's tough. When we become a perennial top 50 team, then it will be easier. For now, getting one-offs on the road is probably going to have to suffice. We've got to prove we can win some of tho...

I hope Butts gets pissed about being referred to as "serviceable" and becomes much more than that.

I take the words from him "a minor setback" to mean a fairly short term injury, like a sprained ankle.

Re: '13 MD SG Stanford Robinson (URI Commit)
Rod, great research on your part. After reading your post, this guy seems like a stiff. The staff has to see something we don't here. Maybe he's just guard insurance. He's got a year to work with the team. Hopefully he's better than that when he's called on to play. We still need a good PG for 2016....

I think just about everybody knows the starting 5. Who's the 6th man will depend on practice. If Thompson is the steal a lot of people think he is, I think he's the first guard off the bench. Butts, Berry, and Akele are projects. Going to be a lot of substitutions especially early on next season. If...

Re: The Patriot Way
That's true. He's already been convicted in the court of public opinion, in the minds of almost everybody that's not a Pats fan. The NFL cannot prove he knew. The problem is, Brady can't prove he didn't know either. There is a preponderance of circumstantial evidence. That is usually enough to convi...

TP, I didn't doubt you were a lawyer, I just doubt Brady would win in court.
Phrased it wrong.
Anyway, Brady's appeal, if heard by Goodell, won't go very far. Beyond that, is it really worth it?

Maybe he'll get it reduced to 2 games. He's getting something.
Anyway, it won't matter. The team will be fine. Well, maybe not in the defensive backfield.

Rod, I think the hiring of ARD, is Dan's admission that he needed help in recruiting bigs. And maybe developing them too. I just take that comment about Dan not being a "recruiting type of coach", as Cox did the bulk of the recruiting of Robinson, and Dan closed the deal at the end. Very common, really. Dan obviously has a plan on how to make up his team, but I'm sure if pressed for an answer, he wishes he co...

So, Kraft bites the bullet on any appeals. I'll bet he HATES to have to do it. We have "semi-bigs". 6'7"-6'8" guys who are either swing men, 3's or 4's. No true centers. Like I said, it might be enough to win the A10 and/or make the NCAA tourney next season. Beyond that, it would take a Dayton-like, as in favorable matchup type games, for us to make the 2nd...

I think it's hilarious that Goodell will be hearing the appeal.
Like he [Goodell] didn't know what the penalties were before they were made public.
I would be quite surprised if his suspension is reduced, needless to say.
