I believe that since he is Italian, he doesn't count against the "import" rule, which I think limits teams to two non-Italians. That might get him a few more Euros in his paycheck.

I believe John Nelson was on the 78 team that lost to Duke in the 32 team NCAA's. One of the best long range shooters in Rhody history - before the 3 pt shot was instituted.
