Re: Conference Realignment
Any talk about URI elevating football and joining the MAC is just crazy and exhibits a total ignorance of URI athletics. URI football has been to the FCS playoffs just three times. All of these instances appeared in the short four year span from 1981 to 1985. The program has recorded by my quick co...

https://x.com/RTDjohnoconnor/status/1790415976908963904 URI likely will not be playing the Spiders in football much going forward. Re: CAA conference in turmoil?
If you don't want FBS, the Patriot maybe a good move with Holy Cross. With New Hampshire and Maine still in conference and Bryant coming aboard this year it feels like our best mix of local rivals is still in the CAA, but I think every school is probably thinking about possible exit plans and what ...

I wouldn’t lose sleep over Richmond going to say C-USA because of football and leaving the A10 because I think we have too many teams in the conference already. I always thought the MAC was out of reach because their stadiums were so big, but I crunched some numbers, and a 17000 seat stadium like UMass has is perfectly fine for the MAC. The average stadium is 26,205, but the average attendance last year was only 13,503. There's no need to build a massive st...

would be great if they had a wrap around with seats behind the end zones for a full bowl.
