IMHO it might make more sense to award the AQ bids to regular season conference winners rather than the conference tournament winner. This way the NCAAM tourney does not burn a bid on a team that could otherwise get in even with sub .500 record, lack of quality wins, etc.

We attended the game at Auburn yesterday. Another poster gave a good synopsis above. My take away: 1) This is a much improved team than what we saw last year in Atlanta against Ga State. I would rather see URI get a D1 Mens and Womens lacrosse programs going instead of Football or bump down to the NEC. I mean no disrespect to the URI Football family. Live in Atlanta, definitely going to the game at Auburn this year. Hopefully we'll rally a few folks from here to make the trip. We suffered through the dismal performance at Georgia State last year. Better times ahead. Go Rhody!
