Re: Just FBS D1 football
Interesting that in 1897 Penn went 15-0 and 1894 Yale went 16-0. I never knew they played that many games back then.

Re: Just FBS D1 football
How many games will these top teams play now? You have the conference Championship and now maybe 3 or more College Playoff games. Maybe 16 games. These are students, well you know what I mean. Is the Big10 and SEC taking teams a violation of Antitrust laws? How can you say these Athletic programs as...

Re: Just FBS D1 football
With 8 teams in the Playoffs, and with only really 3 teams with a legitimate shot of winning it all, How many players will not play up to 3 extra games if they might get hurt and ruin their NFL chances? I don't care who wins the playoffs unless it is my team. I want to see fun football games. I don'...

Re: Delaware to leave CAA, what's next?
Unless you are in Big12, SEC, Big10, or ACC you are not going to make big money (ND not counting) nor will you get the recruits. You will be traveling for all other sports maybe down to the Southeast. Most schools even in the Big 4 conferences don't have a shot. Unfortunately, the Northeast Schools ...

Re: Why does our band get smaller each year?
I'm not sure on the band but do have a question on the cheerleader and pep squads. They are excellent in what they do but I wonder why with over 60 members there are no girls of color. Why don't we have any males? We did at one time, maybe gymnastic students. Other schools have males to hold up the...

Re: Delaware to leave CAA, what's next?
URI never built on the successes of the football program in 1984-1985. It was of course a time that State support for URI went into a nose dive. However, when the East Stands were built around 1978, they were already near the bottom of stadium facilities. Only now, almost 45 years later are there pl...

It's no conundrum!
Jim has done a fantastic job. The program was a mess when he came, resulting in the Admin wanting to drop down to NEC.
Do we have football offices and an indoor practice facility? Only now after 30 years of trying to upgrade Meade, may we see something.

Need a new Stadium with football offices, Hydro training pools, restaurant. Move the dumpy physical plant eye sore, build a new Stadium, do a fund raising like we do for Ryan Center almost 25 years ago.
Also, why put money into a field that is almost the lowest point on campus and prone to flooding?
