Well, I wasn't aware of that. A li ttle surprising he made all-A10 1st team being a newcomer to the league but I guess his stats couldn't be overlooked. Yes I'd be very interested in Ma native. This will be his 4th school is 5 season

Did big guy even start at SJ's? IDTS. They probably overpaid for a large presence in the middle rather than a program-turner they hope they got. They will probably tell the 6'9 Preppie that committed to stay in school. Let the other 7' be a practice player and small mins reserve. As it stands now t...

"underwhelming" Yeah I'd agree with that. Never saw him play -that I can remember- but I don't think he can hurt you offensively and as long as he doesn't fire up 10-15 shots you are probably ok with what you get. If he is playing good D. Don't think he's much of a distributor. Some price...

https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/player/_/id/4897065/sebastian-thomas Thomas had a very nice season. If you're being a critic you'd say his shooting percentages are still a little weak. But every sea., rising. Why mess up a good uptick? Why look to trade up and maybe not even start? This...

Fairfield has four g's in portal. Stags have beautiful new (small) arena perfect for a school of their size. I guess it didn't matter.
Hope AMiller is giving Jalen Leach a call. I think 6'4 Nyack native could do some nice work here. Kind of FG percentages I like to see : 48.8 35.4 89.5

So far the talent on the move is really quite amazing and we still have another 30% or so that will leave teams currently involved in tournys. Some are surprising like the Harv (PG) Malik Mack. Somebody this successful in 1st year you have to believe he's being tempted by $$$ at some place like UMd,...

I like some of the film I've seen on this portal guy Dion Brown (UMBC). He's also from nearby W. Ma. Line him up for a visit. " What also has been fun is watching Brown emerge as one of the top players in the America East. He leads the conference in field goals (189) and offensive rebounds (66)...

It doesn't sound like good move. However you have to consider they have given this a long thought process. It's been a few years in the making. Prov loses a lot. But they are likely to lose even more than that from this roster. There is a good chance Pierre leaves with those upperclassmen. They are going to need a huge recruiting year just to be respectable. I didn't see any pressure on Rams this year. Next year - another matter entirely. T...

Pats are giving 3.5 pts. They probably deserve to be the favorites. But it won't matter if Jones has another game like a fortnight ago in Germany. They'll lose.
If QB keeps his wits about him I like them to win on a nice afternoon. Not what they need in Foxboro.

Of those three, Marquette had the good game with a road win. I didn't see it but Kolek had them in the lead pretty much from start to finish. I don't know how good UI is this season but they are usually very talented. They had a recent transfer problem.

I always thought the risk was there for WooSox. The game is in decline even though it has many things going for it. I don't know the financials surrounding the paying for the new park but I would think it would make a sale more difficult. It was too bad PawSox had to go but it was a good thing the p...

PC wants to have a number of easy games (cupcakes) This quote got me interested and I looked Sched up. It's stupid. While not an ultra tough pre-BE there are some qual programs they will likely not go 50/50 against. Wisconsin, OU, Miami, KSU. Yes g's came through the BE but they aren't going to win...

I think Rick tends to 'misremember' things. After reestablishing himself he wanted a restructured deal. Iona said they were good. He was making about 20% of what he could be in a top 5 league. For whatever reason Shanley was willing to pay off his coach who had something like 3 years left on his dea...

Re: Conference Realignment
For the record:
Two teams declined the BE's invitation, Holy Cross and Rutgers (circa 1979).
One team accepted an invitation (1982) but did not receive the yes vote, losing by one (5/8).
So apparently Villanova got Gtn,SJ to go along with them and block Joe paterno.

Re: Conference Realignment
Creighton as good as they are, would likely never have been invited had the Cat7 not defected (while still owning the name/playing @ MSG). They were the last school "in." I think the BE will not add any U's unless FOX really demands it. But why? A round robin -20- is enough. IMO the next s...

They wouldn't have cut mcnair (unless it was a personal matter). They have a spare 'ship plus they have a Mason athlete that's coming off surgery. That's 11 guys. The film I caught didn't show it, but supposedly the Red Card was for kicking a player in the nuts. Automatic.
It not only makes you play a man down (leading to the loss) but also takes offender out of the next game. A very unwise move if true.

What are the chances that a guy named Morey Hershgordon ends up in NYC after a brief stint in Boston? I'd say pretty good. Boston has 5+ stations all with significant budgets even though the biz has taken a major financial hit and isn't what it was 20 years ago. I believe Ch.7 sent former Ch.10 weat...

Major part of the "black eye" is that Doyle was allowed to walk right in and do it. Who was looking out for the U's interests? Doyle paid the price by essentially spending the rest of his life in the ACI (no country club). I didn't hear about anybody else losing out that should have been w...

I thought about Doyle a few times over the years and wondered how he was doing in the joint. It looks like he did almost the full stretch of time. In any case if he was seriously ill, it's good he got some final days on the outside before he died. Whatever was going on at the "IIS" I alway...
