I watched video of Rory Stewart in high school posted on this site. I thought he looked lost and said so on this forum. I was attacked immediately by steviestuds who was touting him as a high level recruit. Who needs Arch when we have experts like him. Sorry to hear about the loss of Dave Stenhouse....

I have been a staunch URI fan since the 50's. Three sons graduated from Rhody and one is in the URI Athletic Hall of Fame.
I didn't like the video and gave an honest opinion. I won't watch it again. You act like i called your kids ugly. It is too bad this board has so many homers.

UMass didn't get the Rice 7 footer or the twins. The 7 footer went to VT and the twins to Pitt.

Thank God. The twins were a disgrace to the URI uniform. When I watched them all I felt was disgust.

An interesting thing about Sly that has already been mentioned. URI despite being strongly considered for the Big East was never invited because our AD Mo Zarchen and Dave Gavitt didn't like each other (hate might be to strong a word) and didn't get along at all. Gary Koenig (RIP) the all time #2 rebounder was the backbone of the 1961 team.

Also the 1966 team beat PC with Jimmy Walker at PC.

I know it was before most of you were fans but don't forget the Ernie Calverley 1961 and 1966 Rams. They were our first selections to the NCAA Tournament. The 1961 team beat PC with Jim Hadnot, Johnny Egan, Vin Ernst and Ray Flynn. They were a gutsy, high spirited team that filled Keaney.

Xavier has suggested a home and home series with URI on their blog. Brother vs brother. They fired coach Steele one day after he won his first game in the NIT. Despite a winning record the fans on the blog were totally dissatisfied just like Rhody at KB.

Felt good when I read this on Xavier blog on 3/17. They have ten times the traffic of KB.
