I don't have any answers myself, but I think that a lot of people are asking the wrong questions when it comes to funding, the football and basketball programs, and how much Thorr's hands are tied (or not!) to affect positive financial change in the department.

URI has pushed out renewals before the end of the season for the last few years.

The schedule has been:
MBB - first week in March
FB - Spring game
WBB - around Memorial day

First game I've been able to see in a while. Davida Dale had a double-double within like a minute of the 2nd half. I couldn't make it to Smithfield, but the 135th ranked Rams were picked as 63% favorites over the 186th ranked Brown Bears (from WBBState.com)...

And going into the 4th quarter it's 61-32 Rams. Vargas with 19, Dale with 12, and Jones continues to do a little bit of everything well.

There was a stretch in the 3rd where the defense fell apart and Cross hit what felt like 200 threes in a row, but it was overall a really good effort.

Holy Cross was 63% to win.

6-2 last season. Finished 8-21.

The only negative I saw today was Jorgensen being pretty much completely neutralized.

Good game from Vargas. Great game from Dale again. No real let up.

Good win against a lesser team.

Positives:
1. Davida Dale had her best game since coming here. She was awesome.
2. Erin Jones, very quietly, is having a very solid season.
3. The team protected the basketball well.

Negatives:
1. Everything else.

I know, I hate when I'm so deep in my mads that I just say untrue things too. I mean, lights and turf is a really big whoop. And a season ticket base that set records isn't a pittance, no matter how much you want it to be. The program is undeniably in better shape in November 2019 than November 2017...
