Re: Games of Interest - 2023-2024 MBB
I’m confused about why PC fans are coming to our message board today. It’s a massive day for their program as they may or may not make the tournament, and you want to come here to talk shit about Archie? Then again, most of their fanbase is like this, so I’m not surprised. Because Providence fans s...

So happy for Bashir Mason. He won three regular season conference championships at Wagner after staying and taking over for Dan but never made the tournament. This season, he wins the conference tournament at Saint Peter’s, and they’re going dancing.

Re: Who is Archie Miller?
Archie is a smart basketball guy and a competitor. He knows this has to work if he wants to stay coaching in the game, which I assume he does because that’s been his whole life. The longer the struggles at URI continue, the farther away his Dayton success seems and the more his Indiana years will be...

Some of you met him as a 10 year old running around the Ryan Center. The Sixers suck without Embiid, but I got to cheer in person for Dowtin last night, which was pretty cool. He’ll likely get a chance because the whole roster is mostly dead. He looked good out there- always composed and steady and he put up a nice stat line.

Jameson needs a famous dad, so he can get more attention. Preferred walk-ons are not a new thing. They’re not on scholarship or a way to game the system to get more scholarship-level players. No one is expecting them to play (sure, walk-ons can, for example, play in all 6 of their team’s tournament ...

I think some of the impatience from fans comes from hoping that there had been some back door deal worked out with a player of note, and the announcement just had to wait for the appropriate timing. I don’t necessarily think that’s a fair belief to hold, but I get wanting it to be true.

It’s easier said than done, but winning kind of makes those transfers feel like guys you’ve been rooting for from day one. Joey California (Calcaterra) somehow became a UConn legend in a single season. That part is definitely different but not necessarily bad.
