Re: '17 PA PG - Daron Russell (URI Signed NLI)

As far as I know, yes, Saturday's his last official game with Imhotep. I know I didn't post here all season, but it was a lot of fun to track Daron's performance this year, knowing that I'd be following him just as closely in a Rams uniform next season. Re: '17 PA PG - Daron Russell (URI Signed NLI)

Imhotep beat Greater Nanticoke tonight in the semi-finals, 60-23. They led 39-15 at the half. Russell had 18 points then and ended up with 22. They played the fourth quarter with a running clock, and Imhotep's starters sat out. They'll play Strong Vincent (Erie) this weekend in Hershey for the 4A St...

I'm not picking on him, but his leaping ability does take you by surprise when you watch him play. He's a "bouncy" player, but then he takes off and his elevation is really impressive. Here's another play. He was up there on this one- https://twitter.com/imhotep_track/status/84356725983883...

Imhotep beat Audenreid in the quarterfinals on Sunday. Russell had 24 points in a somewhat surprisingly easy win. The semi-finals are tomorrow night. Russell is listed at 6' (he's not even close) and watching him dunk is seriously fun. Here's one from Sunday. https://instagram.com/p/BR4WVOJj5MI/ htt...

Re: The Coaching Carousel 2017

I think it would take one more successful season (NCAA appearance) for a true p5 school to offer him a job. So in my opinion, Dan's staying to help build this program to become a more consistent contender. Is that really true? Andy Enfield went from FGCU to USC after 3 years and 1 tourney run. Bobb...

That stuff was nothing more than competitiveness in a high stakes game. And anyway, why would you expect class from a program that signed Austin (and then had to kick him out along with Dotson and Artis)?

Lots of buzz about Wade from VCU, going to LSU. Also, King Rice of Monmouth to Duquesne. well, that puts an end to the 'best coaching name in the conference' competition King's son, Alexander, is a really good sophomore guard at St. Anthony this year. I think the Wade situation is interesting. He's...

Brad Underwood, after spending just one year at Oklahoma State, is hired at Illinois. That's some serious job-hopping. Pretty great that there's a real discussion to be had about this because so many guys contributed and came into their own. From a Dayton perspective, their weakness is their front court depth after a relatively under-sized Pollard (Cunningham, Miller, and Williams??), which could have affected how they're seen nationally in comparison to other teams. Rhode Island isn't as deep there, but they do have two healthy returni...
