Re: HOW A10 CAN STAY RELEVANT
What? Why? Plenty of other URI teams have won championships, or competed for them, in their sports. Listen, you can just admit this was a poorly thought idea of yours, and we'll all just move on. You don't have to keep digging in here. Maybe it was a poorly thought idea, in fact it was just an idea...

Re: HOW A10 CAN STAY RELEVANT
Did you just bring football into the discussion? Rhody does not play football in the A10. I did because I was thinking of the overall athletic program that would benefit from that change. What? Why? Plenty of other URI teams have won championships, or competed for them, in their sports. Listen, you...

Re: HOW A10 CAN STAY RELEVANT
Please tell us how and why this would make sense. What the hell are you even talking about here? I just don't Rhody bball will continuously out perform those in the A-10 who are putting strong funds into their programs (VCU, Dayton, St. Louis). With our facilities at where they are, they would far ...

I will put the support and $$ donors for FB up against any sport at Rhody Could the school do a better job promoting sure, but to say there is no bu...

Re: Coach Sanders contract
They also averaged 33,00 (highest in FCS) last year in 2019, then add in the name Deion Sanders and I'd say it's a steal. Even if they don't win, his name alone continues to put people in the stands.

URI Women’s Soccer wins their 1st A-10 Conference Match since October 30, 2016 or 3 years ago. Congrats to this years team for improving their overall record to (4-8-4) and A-10 record to (1-5-2). Much improved from last year and led by some very good freshmen. https://gorhody.com/sports/w-soccer/2...

Re: 2018 - 2019 Women's Basketball Season
If she was half as good of a coach as she is a promoter via twitter this program would be one vying for the conference title. Too much turn over via the members of the team and not enough cohesion. All surface material.

Title IX is relevant....you cannot make 20 or so more men's scholarships without and equal number of women's scholarships according to Title IX....you then double the cost of adding hockey...money the school won't spend.....or can't I will make this comment from pure ignorance, but rather than simp...

Re: 2018 - 2019 Women's Basketball Season
I feel as though Danya does everything right on the surface, consistently involved in the community, says the right things via social media and puts on a very unified team front for fans but it just isn't carrying over to Wins. This is a program that historically has struggled, without comparing the...

Re: 2017 - 2018 Women's Basketball season
I was high on Coach LaForce when she started and her first season was promising yet that promise has come and gone. With her salary being I believe the 2nd highest for a head coach within URI athletics, she has yet to show anything that warrants it. When does Thorr throw in the towel???

Right direction?? 2016-17 (6-23), 15-16 (12-18), 14-15 (17-13) being that I believe she is the second or third highest paid coach besides Hurley and Flemming, should we at some point expect more. Just figure that if that money goes to other female programs that can attract walk ons who pay full tuit...

Re: Women's basketball overseas trip
I'm all for equal opportunities for women but do we think that those resources could be better used with female teams that actually have success (rowing, volleyball, etc). When was the last time women bball had a winning season?
