Re: 2017 football preview

30 points a game is what is required in the CAA to have a chance to win. But the D has to make key stops. A pash rush without blitzing is essential. This has not existed under Fleming.

Re: 2017 football preview

I like that the two transfer QBs both threw accurately. Jujuan can clearly run the ball as well. Having two effective QBs with somewhat different skill sets can be a real asset if used properly. UNH has done this well over the years. Cannot say I am confident with this coaching staff.

Re: 2017 football preview

Watched the first half of today's scrimmage. Overall, I thought the QB's looked good. They found the open receivers and threw the ball well. The O line had a bit of trouble protecting the QB, so that was a concern. Dwayne Scott, starting center was not playing so I am sure that was part of it. Coope...

The way that team was playing in the 2nd half of the season they could have beaten a Top 5 ranked team... in fact I believe they beat several such teams. I am sure it must have been great on campus. But did it really make any difference to the administration? Dark days ever since.

Our peer schools are UNH, Maine, UAlbany, Stonybrook - Northeast public universities. Throw in Delaware and Towson within the CAA. This is where we belong. Why can't we complete with them? Re: changes at QB!

Fleming's tenure has been marked by a singular ineffectiveness at QB. Not one of these players got beyond there first read and the result was too many interceptions and open receivers never being found. Coaching? After 3 years of this mess, I think the answer is clear.

It sounds like Catalina did well at Georgia - good for him, and I won't be surprised if he makes an NFL team. Fleming and his staff have not shown that they know how to win a game.
