Re: URI football: History is chasing us

Holy Cross hired Bob Chesney as their new football coach. Chesney is 40 years old and has lead Assumption to the National Playoffs in each of the last 3 years. Best years in Assumption's history. Before that he accomplished the similar results at Salve Regina. URI is staying the course with their 7 ...

Re: How many games will the football team win in 2017?

Predicting 3 wins was not that difficult....the wins they had showed they have some talent...the wins they didn't have ... and there are 3 of those, confirm for me that Fleming is not a winning head coach. And what I want is a winning head coach. So I am ending my criticism of Fleming, the responsib...

That there is even a discussion of bringing back a coach with a record of 7 - 37 is pure craziness. The 3 wins this year are against quality programs but they are all significantly down this year. I admire your optimism...but I think it is a blind optimism. Stats don't always tell the whole story - how many yards you give up is a case in point. But when you give up more points than every school every year and the Head Coach is "a defensive guy" then this is not a good story. Yes, al...

Coaching is a discussion topic that is valid. I honestly think our defense plays at an extremely high level in the conference. Young safeties getting mixed up and allowing home runs will happen. They will get better. Fleming is a defensive guy and I trust what I've seen so far this year. The high l...

Blue Man, please count me as non rational. If Fleming wins his last 3 games(which will not happen) his record will be 9-36. The biggest difference in these teams is coaching and believing you can win. After URI makes it 15-14, UNH scores on the long pass on 3rd and 13, where the wide receiver is being covered by a linebacker. URI responds with a penalty on the kick return and then promptly goes 3 and out. Not good.
