Re: General Recruiting Discussion/Comments

That's the point of my last sentence, there are lots of great posters here and room for everyone. Besides trolls and Fryers :) In other news not sure if it had been posted already but I think the team is heading back to Europe this summer. That will provide some summer workouts to discuss and an ear...

He's not pushing for practice facilities, or anything out of the ordinary, and well within the means of URI to get done. It will get done, listen to Blue Man on why it drags on. Or if you live in RI just wake up tomorrow. It's Rhode Island.

Re: '18 RI SG Cole Swider (Offer)

Rod, Dan would do well to reconsider the advice from this booster, who most insiders know very well for many years. He needs all the help he can get, especially with this current crop of local players, most of whom are BABC kids. If it's true that Dan doesn't have much cache with these local coache...

I don't understand why some people want to run off folks here who actually have inside info, so we can be left listening to the speculation and hyperbole squad for pages on end. There is room for everyone, Rhody nation is a small community there is no room to run people off the island.

Re: '18 RI SG Cole Swider (Offer)

Every significant recruit we have signed since DH has been here has been quoted as saying how integral Dan was in him committing here.
Recruiting happens in kids houses and largely outside the eye of observers, so personally I find it difficult to have enough info to draw many conclusions.

A PC fan who spends an inordinate amount of time on a URI fan board, mostly defending his own team and conference, can call no one a whiny loser. That's laughable. Floor spacing is key, especially with a team of skilled guards. The more space the more lanes for Terrell, EC and Stan to slash to the hoop. Without an inside threat teams can sag off and stack the paint, cut off lanes for our guards which will turn them into jump shooters and won't be optimal based...

we need to be able to throw the ball into the post- and have that person be a threat to score. Spacing is killed without that basic dynamic. We need 1 person amongst Langevine and a grad transfer/Juco to be that guy.
